As a community college, we’re busy serving area residents throughout the year. Here’s a few ways you can keep the learning going all summer long!
Bickelhaupt Arboretum – Clinton, IA
Take a trip to Clinton and spend some time exploring the Bickelhaupt Arboretum. Located in the heart of Clinton at 340 S. 14th Street, the Arboretum was founded in 1970 by Robert and Frances Bickelhaupt and was donated to Eastern Iowa Community Colleges in 2014. The 14-acre property is beautifully landscaped with a wide variety of trees and plants which explode into color in spring and summer. The collection offers captivating scenery, specialty gardens, marked trails and unique structures. The Arboretum is open daily, from dawn to dusk, and is FREE of charge.
Summer’s on the way and so are Eastern Iowa Community Colleges’ Summer Camps! With camps for kids ranging in age from 3 to 17 – and locations throughout a four-county area – there’s something for everyone. Kids can explore their scientific side, get close to nature, hone their computer skills, fly a drone, outsmart Zombies and MORE! For the full schedule and to register, visit eicc.edu/summercamp
