Sometimes, you really do need to see something for yourself. There’s a lot to be said for being right in the middle of an environment and experiencing it first-hand. Walking around, talking with people, getting a sense for how things look and work, and figuring out how it feels to be a part of it.
Combining that with an opportunity to compare your thoughts and impressions with others going through the same thing makes for an even better experience.
Our goal for this year’s upcoming College Visit Days for high school students is to provide them with exactly this small group, hands-on opportunity to see what it’s like to be a student at Eastern Iowa Community Colleges.
Visit Days are so much more than a tour (although the tours ARE great!). Spending time on our campuses is the best way to find out if we’re the right fit for you. We’ll outline our programs and majors, talk about student activities and support services, introduce you to current students and staff, go over financial aid and the enrollment process, and give you plenty of time to ask questions. Parents are welcome and encouraged to attend. Choosing a college is a big decision, and we want everyone to feel confident that EICC is the right place.
You can feel good knowing that more graduating high school students in our communities choose Clinton, Muscatine or Scott Community College than ANY OTHER college in the area.
